I shared with staff a step by step guide to using GCSEpod to create assignments that generate no marking and that can be easily differentiated. It reduces teacher workload and it engages students. It is also really easy to track who has and hasn’t completed it. The assignments are low threat but high challenge as you have control over the questions you set.
Question Bank
- GCSEPod now has a bank of over 50,000 community questions written by teaching professionals in the GCSEPod community.
- Choose the questions you like, edit them to your needs, and create your assignment in seconds.
- Add your own questions to the bank so others can benefit from your expert knowledge.
Step 1: Set the Pods you want students to watch

Step 2: Choose from the recommended questions, edit existing questions or add your own.

You can create questions that are marked automatically, written responses that you mark or a combination of both.

Boost Playlists
- Each question in the bank is tied to relevant Pods. Incorrectly answered questions first identify the knowledge gap.
- Then, a personalised Boost playlist is automatically generated based on students’ weaker areas.
- Boost playlists are generated for any assignment you create, including questions you’ve written yourself.
